The theme for 2019 was all about the Paterson Fishing Stores and the find of John Paterson’s artwork.
Fisherfolk Festival 2019
The Fisherfolk Festival of 2019 featured the artwork of John Paterson.
The Paterson family have owned the main fishing rights for the Seaboard since around 1900. Whilst clearing out the fishing sheds in 2018, Bruce his grandson, discovered a collection of oil portraits painted by his grandfather (1890-1945). It was great to add the fishing stores as a venue to hold activities during the Festival.

Songs of Praise
Every year we hold a Songs of Praise as Faith is a large part of our village. It brings the locals together and allows them to stand and sing as one.
The Songs of Praise on Sunday was rather special, with Rev.Alasdair MacAulay standing inside the coble and presenting his message using the analogy of ‘Getting the Right Focus’ – as those present viewed the artwork displayed around the walls.
